United National Children's Fund (UNICEF) and XIMB have singed an Agreement to develop the Project on Building a Multi-stakeholder Forum on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Orissa. The objectives of the study is to do research and collate evidence on the status of MDGs in Orissa, creating a platform for generating dialogue on the status of MGDs in Orissa involving Academic, UN agencies, Civil Society Organisations, Corporate organizations, Bureaucrats, Politicians and people and Facilitate a consultative process of agreeing and making recommendations to the government and other agencies directly involved, with a view to accelerate the achievement of MDGs in Orissa.

NATIONAL AIDS CONTROL ORGANIZATION
XIMB has signed a contract for consultants' services with National Aid Control Organization (NACO), Orissa State AIDS Control Society for setting up State Training and Resource Centre. The objective of this assignment is to ensure standardized and high quality training of TIs as per NACP III's technical and operational guidelines, develop a sustainable system for the capacity building of partner organizations for TIs and Gather learning through additional research and develop pedagogy of learning for TI scale up.
NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP NETWORK (NEN)
XIMB and NEN have joined hands together to inspire, educate and support the next generation of high-growth entrepreneurs in India. The basic objective is to build an "entrepreneurial campus" that has a well rounded set of entrepreneurship programs, both academic as well as experiential in nature, implemented through academic curriculum, industry and alumni interfaces and student activities, among others. In order to achieve this XIMB is also seeking to enhance the participation of its students in non-academic activities, such as entrepreneurship clubs and business planning competitions that foster entrepreneurship.
XIMB and NABARD have signed a MOU to carry out an Action Research to develop a community based- paced-owned enterprise system.
MONNET POWER COMPANY LIMITED
Monnet Power Company Limited (MPCL) and XIMB have signed an agreement to carry out a detailed action plan for the resettlement and rehabilitation of the displaced families, by taking into account, the felt-needs of the displaced community.
KHADI & VILLAGE COMMISSION(KVIC)
XIMB and KVIC have signed an agreement with a vision to regenerate clusters of traditional Khadi & Village industries (KVI) in various parts of the country, which enacts traditional KVI more competitive, market- driven, profitable and sustained employment for traditional artisans and rural entrepreneurs engaged in promotion of village industries. It aims to upgrade innovative traditional skills, introduce improved technologies, adopt advanced processes, gather market intelligence and build up new models of public- private partnerships.
INTERNATIONAL LIVESTOCK RESEARCH INSTITUTION (ILRI)
XIMB and ILRI have signed an agreement to assess the role within ILRI of impact analysis for both demonstrating impact, and achieving greater impact, and to provide ILRI researchers and managers pragmatic recommendations for enhancing both of those outcomes.
INTERNATIONAL CROPS RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR THE SEMI-ARID TROPICS (ICRISAT)

FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION OF THE UNITED NATIONS (FAO)
XIMB and FAO have signed an agreement to develop financially sustainable commercial operations through producer companies promoted by primary stake holders and staffed professionals, to enable maximization of small farm holders' ability to add value to their produce, access markets and to improve their nutrition , health, food-security and purchasing power; and also to undertake guide and supervise documentation of events, process, learning and experience for sharing locally and with other communities, business schools, media and relevant interest groups.

CENDERET-XIMB and CORDAID have signed an agreement for two projects i.e. "Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management "(CBDRRM) and Women Empowerment through Self Help projects (WETSH).
CBDRRM- This project is implemented in 7 disaster prone districts of Orissa in order to understand people's vulnerabilities in the context of disaster and come out with a long term implementation plan.
WETSH- It is implemented in 12 districts of Orissa. It aims at bringing an improvement in their social, economic, legal and the institutional quality of life.
SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD IMPROVEMENT THROUGH INTEGRATED FRESHWATER AQUACULTURE, HORTICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK DEVELOPMENT IN MAYURBHANJ, KEONJHAR, AND SAMBALPUR DISTRICTS OF ORISSA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CIFA
XIMB and CIFA have signed a MOU for the purpose of forming a Consortium with a collective and individual responsibility for attaining the objective as set out in the sub-project "Sustainable livelihood improvement through integrated freshwater aquaculture, horticulture and livestock development in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sambalpur districts of Orissa" under the National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP), Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India
XIMB and Bioversity International have signed an agreement to carry out research studies, policy workshops and experiential learning to initiate policy dialogue and shape in to similar process across the world. The objective of the agreement is to participate in an ILAC (Institutional Learning and Change) Learning Laboratory and coordinate the Indian case on 'Knowledge Intensive Agricultural Systems' as part of the ILAC initiative, which includes learning together with civil society organizations, farmers, government agencies, researchers and policy makers on establishing new axioms for research and practice using experiences from ongoing work on Community Management Sustainable Agriculture (CMSA) and the System of Rice Intensification (SRI).
As part of ILAC, XIMB is partnering with various institutions for generating new Experiences and consolidating existing experiences in agriculture sector that have a clear bearing on Institutional learning and change. As part of this, XIMB is supporting WASSAN to generate a new experience in generating mandal / district level action plans for agriculture development.
As part of ILAC, XIMB is supporting CED, Mumbai to produce video documentation on the NPM story. To posit a full-fledged alternative to dominant destructive modernization ideology, we need to be able to promote and reflect on the intermediary level institutions that frame the scaling up and successful replication- sustainable, diverse and rooted in the ethos of the community. Such democratized knowledge and practice at the intermediary level can bring about structural transformation in the society.
ABN AMRO FOUNDATION
XIMB and ABN AMRO FOUNDATION India have signed an agreement to carryout an assignment on Evaluation of Livelihood projects in Orissa. The broad objective is to conduct a post-project evaluation study of two livelihood projects implemented in Orissa from AAFI support and to measure the impact on the respective targeted communities & environment and assess the future sustainability of the projects.
